Developing Applications with Eclipse RCP
This course has been authored by Herman Lintvelt, capturing his experience of more than 6 years of developing rich, professional graphical user interface applications using the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP). This course presents theory about Eclipse RCP and how to use it, as well as numerous tips from real world development of GUI applications. We also discuss a few of the design patterns being used in RCP. A huge part of the course is spend on hands-on programming, which is the best way for students to learn.

It is our believe that Eclipse RCP is the best Java technology available to build rich, interactive and professional applications with, and we want to grow the necessary skills in the South African market.

Prerequisites: Participants should have a good knowledge of Java and the basic OO concepts, such as inheritance and polymorphism.
